Peter Stein Joins Upstream Tech as an Advisor on Natural Resource Investment

As we begin a new year, we are thrilled to announce that Peter Stein has joined Upstream Tech as an advisor to help us grow the use of Lens for forestry and natural resource management. Peter is Managing Director of the Lyme Timber Company and brings a depth of expertise from his long career in land conservation, from serving as a founding Commissioner of the Land Trust Accreditation Commission to pioneering conservation-oriented forestland investment strategies to co-founding the Conservation Finance Network.

The Lyme Timber Company has been involved in more than a million acres of forestland investments, which have been durably conserved across the US and eastern Canada. In addition, Peter leads LTC Conservation Advisory Services, the firm’s consulting practice. Prior to joining the Lyme Timber Company in 1990, Peter was Senior Vice President of the Trust for Public Land, where he was one of the founding staff. Peter also lectures frequently at graduate schools and professional conferences on conservation investment structures and strategies.

“I am very pleased to be joining Upstream Tech as an advisor,” said Peter. “They are already demonstrating how technology can help accelerate the pace of conservation, and I expect that I can add traction in the natural resource investment space.”

Upstream Tech is grateful for Peter’s partnership, and we look forward to working together to bring remote monitoring via Lens to a broad range of environmental and natural resource management organizations.
