Hear how one of the world's most complex coastal cities uses advanced hydrological forecasting to protect communities and infrastructure. Auckland Council shares how probabilistic forecasting drives real-time water management decisions across multiple departments.

We recently sat down with leading water organizations — Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) and Denver Water — to discuss how snowpack data is collected and integrated into spring runoff forecasting. With both organizations navigating very different snow extremes this year, the conversation was full of timely insights.

We've expanded HydroForecast to include powerful new Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) analysis , giving water managers a clearer picture of snowpack conditions. SWE measures how much water is stored in the snowpack — a critical input for predicting spring runoff, reservoir inflows, and seasonal water availability.
