Jake builds Upstream Tech’s partnerships with conservation organizations to support real-time remote monitoring of the places they protect using Lens. Prior to joining Upstream, Jake worked with the Land Trust Alliance where he ran grant programs and trainings to help stewardship teams get started with remote monitoring. Previously, he also organized volunteer aerial monitoring and educational flights for environmental advocates; that is to say, he loves to see how the ‘view from above’ can help to empower more effective conservation. Jake holds a BA in Environmental Studies and Conservation Biology from Middlebury College, and lives in Philadelphia where he volunteers with his local land trust and takes any opportunity to talk up Philly’s Southeast Asian Vendor Market.
