Discover how tags in Lens organize and streamline your remote monitoring, making collaboration effortless for everyone on your team.
Tags help you and your team label and organize your work in Lens. Think of them as smart, color-coded sticky notes that help you sort, filter, and find what matters—without the actual paper cuts. You can use tags on individual properties or notes, helping you keep track of the big picture and the small details.
Tags are completely customizable, so whether you're marking new structures or roads, tracking forest loss, or just trying to remember which properties need a second look, tags help you stay on top of everything.
Adding a tag to a note is a simple way to highlight observations and action items. For example, you can:
✔ Tag a note with "follow-up" to remind yourself to revisit it later
✔ Use "buffer zone" or "structure" to group similar observations
✔ Filter to only show notes with a specific tag to quickly scan for specific changes
Note tags are shared across your Lens account, so your whole team can stay in sync and organized.
How to use note tags:
When your portfolio spans dozens or hundreds of properties, tags help you keep things tidy and clear. Use them to group and filter properties by categories like easement type, priority status, habitat type, or whatever makes sense for your workflow.
How to use property tags:
Admins can now manage tags in one central place. From the new Organization Settings page, you can:
✔ Add, rename, or delete both property and note tags
✔ Assign colors to make tags easy to spot
This keeps everyone on the same page with a curated set of tags to choose from.
Our latest feature launch, the Lens dashboard, now includes visual summaries of both property and note tags. Donut charts give you a quick look at how your portfolio is tagged—helping you spot trends, gaps, and patterns in your monitoring.
Whether you're flagging notes during a monitoring season or categorizing a growing list of properties, tags in Lens help you stay organized and focused on what matters most. Log in to Lens or sign up today!
