Tune in to learn how one of the world's most complex coastal cities uses advanced hydrological forecasting to protect its communities and infrastructure. In this live discussion, you’ll hear from Kolt Johnson, a key member of the Hydrology and Environmental Data team at Auckland Council, about the practical application of probabilistic forecasting in a high-stakes municipal environment. Learn how Auckland Council leverages HydroForecast to drive real-time decisions and coordinate real-time responses across multiple departments.

HydroForecast supports customizable threshold alerts on flow and water level forecasts. Users can set alert thresholds that display visually on charts and trigger automatic email notifications when forecasts exceed defined limits — helping teams stay ahead of critical events like snowmelt season.
HydroForecast can ingest and display River Forecasting Center (RFC) forecasts at hundreds of locations, with increased coverage across the Colorado River Basin. This integration gives users greater near-term visibility into future flow conditions — and when multiple forecasts align, it provides significantly greater confidence in expected outcomes.
