Witnessing dam removal progress in Washington

Restoration
Remote Monitoring
Yakima, Washington, US

It's not every day that you get to see a 100-year old dam torn down. On the Naches River, that's exactly what happened in 2021 as officials decided to restore native fish habitat and improve resilience by removing the Nelson Dam. As the project continues, we can track demolition progress and witness the restoration of a healthy and free-flowing river with up-to-date imagery in Lens.
