Before joining Upstream, Melanie worked for Axiom Data Science as a Data Scientist visualizing and archiving environmental data. She also worked at Sofar Ocean as a Data Analyst helping vessels navigate safely with accurate marine weather and wave forecasts. Melanie holds a MS in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island where she studied ocean carbon cycling from data collected by underwater autonomous robots. Melanie lives in Providence, RI and is often found outside rock climbing with her dog or at the pottery studio.
